Team AABC attended the Vesak celebration at the Parliament House NSW today.
The Vesak at Parliament House NSW event was organised by the
Monastics from three major Buddhist traditions, lay devotees from over 30 Buddhist organisations, and parliamentarians gathered together in unity and harmony.
The event organised ceremonies and chanting from senior monastics from various Buddhist traditions, including the Buddha Bathing Ceremony.
We heard addresses from the Hon. Mark Speakman MP (Leader of the Opposition), the Hon. Stephen Kamper MP (Minister for Multiculturalism), Mark Coure MP (Shadow Minister for Multiculturalism), and Gawaine Powell Davies (Chair, Buddhist Council of NSW).
