The Accessible Thailand Wellness Tourism (ATWT) delegation recently convened with the Asian Australian Business Council Team to obtain feedback on the current state of accessible tourism in Thailand. The project is being spearheaded by two distinguished academics from the Mahidol University, namely Associate Professor Kaewta Muangasame and Dr, Methavee Wongkit, who are internationally renowned experts in Sustainable Tourism Development.
The Mahidol University is a public research university in Thailand that was established in 1888 as part of Siriraj Hospital. It has been recognised as Thailand’s fourth public university and was ranked as the country’s best university by Times Higher Education World University Rankings (THE) in 2019. The primary objective of the ATWT project is to enhance accessibility for tourists with disabilities and elderly people.
“We are thrilled to announce that we will be sharing updates on this promising initiative in the near future.” said Kai Hillam, the President of Asian Australian Business Council.
